A Birmingham native, Alec, is excited to join Dr. Blum’s team, where he will assist in both surgery and clinic across a wide range of general orthopedic conditions. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia before earning his Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With years of experience in orthopedics, Alec is enthusiastic about helping patients stay active and get back to what they love. He believes strongly in a patient-centered approach to care, focusing on education, communication, and shared decision-making to help patients reach their goals.
Outside of work, Alec enjoys traveling with his wife and two children, staying active by playing different sports, and catching as much live music as possible. On game days, he will always support his UGA alma mater-unless they are playing Alabama, because he still bleeds Crimson Tide red.
